Sunday Night at the Knick

Folks if you're interested in experiencing a genuine 1970s Original Band, this is an event you should move earth to get to ! This band, with its previous name, was considered the Best Band in New York City in the mid-Seventies by Joel Dorn, producer of Roberta Flack, opened for many concerts with the Count Basie Orchestra and inspired the Blues Brothers. In fact we backed up John Belushi and Dan Aykroyd at the first Blues Brothers gig in NYC in 1978.
Count Basie used to elbow some of the guys in his band and say "Sometimes I wish the boys in my band played the blues like the boys in this band."
Do you remember the name of this band (which used to play at the Knick on Sunday nights in the 1970s?)
Al Copley, Greg Piccolo, Rich Lataille, John Rossi, Duke Robillard, Doug James, Preston Hubbard. All except John and Preston will be at the Knick on Sunday night, December 18th.
Hint: The name of their first album was "Roomful of Blues."
