Been nominated for two Grammy Awards (1983 & 1984) in the "Best Traditional Blues" category
Played with the original Blues Brothers -

Opened for Eric Clapton at Royal Albert Hall for 12 concerts, playing with Jimmie Vaughan (1993)

--- opening for BOB DYLAN (1998);
--- opening for ERIC CLAPTON'S "LEGENDS" (1997);
--- doing a duo of Jazz-Hot with JEFF HEALEY (1997);
--- opening the Blues Summit with ETTA JAMES and B.B. KING (1993)
--- And the first Montreux in Japan Jazz Festival with GEORGE DUKE & MCCOY TYNER (1998)
